I took a quick hiatus from winter press tour to make an appearance on CNBC’s Squawk Alley and discuss my Quartz story on Amazon’s new pilots. While I’ve appeared on the show several times, this was my first time doing it remotely via CNBC’s L.A. studio. Here’s a clip from the segment (though it’s more of an audio segment, because the network can’t stream Amazon footage — which aired during the segment — as part of its online video).

Like “Transparent”, Amazon’s strategy appears to be offering the kinds of shows “you simply can’t find on television” – @jasonlynch @CNBC
